    Are you using  the the EVM. If so you can go to the tab AudioInput/ADC and select  PGA Gain for Left ADC or PGA Gain for Right ADC

    If you are attempting I2C write for PGA Gain

    Left ADC   w 30 0F  00    Minimum Volume

                      w 30 0F  7F    Maximum Volume

    Increasing value in steps from 00 to 7F increases volume

    Right ADC   w 30 10  00    Minimum Volume

                      w 30   10  7F    Maximum Volume

    Increasing value in steps from 00 to 7F increases volume
