TPA6132A2: The mono speaker.

Hi team,

My customer is inputting a stereo signal, but the mono speaker can be connected to the output.
(Of curse, the stereo speaker connection is basic.)

When the mono speaker is connected and a loud sound of 1kHz is input, the beep is heard.
When the mono speaker is connected and a low-pitched sound of 1khz is input, a sound of 1khz is heard.

Are these normal operations?
If you have any countermeasures, please let me know.

SIncerely.
Kengo.
  • Hi Kengo,

Unfortunately I'm not clear on your description, could you add some diagrams and captures of the signals for better understanding?
Do you mean the output is the same amplitude regardless of the input? Are you connecting stereo outputs in pseudo-differential output?

This device was not designed or characterized to connect a mono speaker while driving inputs with pseudo-differential signal.
