PCM9211EVM-U: Connecting to EVM on Windows10 via Parralells

Hi,

I've ordered TI's PCM9211EVM-U kit to run some experiments regarding SPDIF support. I've installed the CodecConnect software on Windows10 running in Parrallels on my Mac. When I connect the EVM to my PC I see it shows up in Device Manager as an audio device. CodecConnect does not seem to connect to it. Attached are some screenshots to illustrate the issue. Can you please advise? Occasionally, the EVM does not show up in Device Manager and CodecConnect continuously throws exceptions.

Hello,

Could I suggest running compatibility mode troubleshooting on the application by right clicking "Troubleshoot Compatibility" and selecting and using software in suggested mode.

Thank you for the prompt reply (and apologies for my delay). I've tried running the program in windows compatibility mode and I get the same result.

Yes, my Parallels Windows VM works with every other USB device I've connected, including many USB Audio Devices (eg Fireface RME, Schiit Joutenheim). I am not sure how to properly test the TI CodecControl app with other devices as the PCM9211 EVK is the only device I have that connects with that app. FWIW, I have mac and linux baremetal machines that I can test with. I do not have a baremetal windows machine.

Hello,

From software side:

Codec control is not compatible with latest version of windows or has too much dependency on particular windows version that it was built. Unfortunately, making it work on any windows is not easy.
