TAS5805M: Device Marking

Hello,

How can I find the exact details of the device making for this part including datecode format? Both the datasheet and the web marking lookup tool (https://www.ti.com/packaging/docs/partlookup.tsp#divline) list 5805 as the marking with no information on the other letters and how to identify the date code.

We are asking this because we have two shipments for this part with different markings. Can you please review the attached marking pictures (A & B) and inform us which one is genuine. We appreciate your quick response. Thank you,

Hello Mustafa,

Both are valid devices when looking at the lot codes. The first one is from 2H2020 so has newer top marking. The second one is an older top marking from 1H 2020.

Okay, thank you, Luis. Is there a document that describes TI device markings in more detail so customers can interpret the marking without having to create e2e tickets?

There's no document about it. We are not so sure about the markings either, they are decided by the manufacture stage. Apart from E2E, you can find more help on TI's customer support center. Where you can find on-line chat support or telephone support.
