Hi,
My customer have meet TS3A227E sometimes can't normal detect 4-pole TRRS(every device may happen, fail rate ~5%, maybe plug 20 times meet once),
In below waveform, DET_TRIG# pull low, but MIC_PRES still high.
I have ask customer to check the impedance between the mic and GND(Sleeve/Ring2).
Except impedance, any possible to cause this issue happen?

Hey Jeff,
Sometimes this error is simply due to the speed of the audio jack insertion. How does the audio jack itself look? And how consistent is the plug in speed of the audio jack? There may just be random occurrences of slow plug in. A deeper detection trigger is recommended to help mitigate any detection problems from plugging in too slowly. If the detection trigger is too close to the outer edge (see picture below) the trigger could start the sequence.

Hi Rami,
We found seems caused by pin6 MICP, when this voltage is low, some microphone mic to GND impedance ~1k, is very easy to reproduce this issue.
But if raise up this voltage to 3.3V, can 100% avoid this issue.
Would you please help check below circuit from my cutomer?
I have check TI reference schematic, seems only pull high 2.2k to MICBIAS,
(1) how to modify below circuit to avoid this issue?
(2) How does it work in TS3A227E internal, why it cause some microphone mic to GND impedance ~1k can't normal detect?
