Dear Sirs,

May I have questions about the AIC3262?

1. AIC3262 has 3 digital audio input interfaces, will it mix them all and output to audio amp output together?

Or I need to choose only 1 source to output?

2. Is there any documents of mixer work mode for 3 digital input?

3. Any documents of power consumption for AIC3262 for each function mode, direct mode, PGA mode,.....etc.

Hi Peter,

No, these are independent interfaces and can drive 3 different devices, so you can just use one interface. You can read more in datasheet section 10.3.9.2.
No mixing of 3 interfaces but these interfaces can be used for multiple channels. See this reference guide section 2.9. https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slau309/slau309.pdf?ts=1638392300872
No power breakdown of each block, but rather total power as specified in section 8.11

Hi Sir,

Let me explain more what the customer needs.

Needs Mic input function
total 3 digital input signals and possible 4 output configurations are as below.

- audio_in_1

- audio_in_2

- audio_in_3

- audio_in_1 mixed with audio_in_2

Customer can choose an output from one of them.

Does AIC3262 can support customer requests or not?

As below link, AIC3262 should be able to support the digital input mixing function, right?

Hi Peter,

Sorry I misunderstood the first time.

You can use as independent source or mix 2 stereo as an option but not all 3 stereo interfaces.

So the configuration you showed above is doable.

The above e2e case, initially it was mentioned as mixing 3 channels (as mono for each interface) then at the end he clarified as stereo. Diego respond was it will use 2 I2S interfaces; the first interface was mixing the 2 channels and the third channel on the second interface.
