TAS5624ADDVEVM: Read A4 not 6C

Hello,

I purchased the TAS5624ADDVEVM evaluation board and connected it as per the user guide. When running the GUI, and clicking the Connect button, the AMP_RESET led extinguishes. When I click the Read button, the response is A4 not 6C. When the board is connected I get an automatic output of ~1.5Vpk-pk on both outputs. I can shut down the outputs by clicking the Shutdown check box on the main page of the GUI or on the PWM page, however I cannot adjust the Modulation Index nor any other settings.

I am planning to use the board in BTL mode. What can I do to get the 6C output and the change the setting to control the output?

Hi Mustafa

If your read value is not 6A, it seems there's some problem with your connections. Have you tried the following method?

Hi Shadow,

I tried the above steps and the HID icon does appear in my Device Manager. However, I am still getting A4 when I click on the Read button.
Also, the software I am running is the 5534 not 5558. That is the only software I could download from the TAS5624ADDVEVM evaluation board.

Can you try using the I2C Output function to control the device? Would it work?
