DIX9211: IC replacement with PCM9211

Hi team,

I'd like to double check with you about p2p replacement between DIX9211 and PCM9211.

My customer is going to replace DIX9211 with PCM9211 without any schematic changes. 

I think it's perfectly fine to replace in this case. Am I right?

Here's current pin configuration:

  • They are not using ADC in PCM9211.
  • PIN 44 = OPEN
  • PIN 45,PIN 46 = AGND
  • PIN 47,PIN 48 = OPEN

    Hi Jay,

    the connections you listed for pins 44-48 are OK for PCM9211. Since VCOM is generated from VCCAD ideally VCOM would also be connected to ground.  

    However if the customer does not want to change schematic/layout then floating VCOM is OK.
