OPA1622: OPA 1622 Sizzling sound from Headphones

Dear Sir

I am using 2 OPA 1622 op amps in a DIP 8 configuration as replacement to the 2 x NE5532 that came with my Douk Audio B4-X hybrid headphone tube amplifier.  Lately a sizzling sound is coming out of the headphones.  When the volume pot on the amplifier is turned all the way to the maximum this sound tends to gradually diminish.  However at listening volumes this Sizzling sound drowns out anything coming out of the headphones.

Please Advise?

    Hi Chamitha,

    The OPA1622 is not available in a DIP 8 package; are you using some sort of conversion board?  

    Generally there is no reason you should hear more noise on OPA1622, it is lower voltage noise and current noise is comparable to NE5532.  Do you have a schematic you can share?
