TAS2552: Short to Vbat on amplifier output: After how much time will it damage the amplifier ?

Part Number: TAS2552
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS2505-Q1

Dear all,

In order to design a short to Vbat protection circuit for class D amplifier output, I would need to know after how much time the devices would be damaged if a short to Vbat occurs.

The class D amplifiers I will be working with for these projects are the following ones:

  • TAS2552 (24V short to Vbat occuring on the output)
  • TAS2505-Q1 (12V or 24V short to Vbat occuring on the output)

If you could give me this information, it would be really helpful

Regards,
