PCM6240-Q1: Features which can be used with just power-on

Part Number: PCM6240-Q1

Hello, Team,

We noticed that external clock input is not necessary with I2C communication between MCU and PCM6240-Q1 to READ/WRITE the register of PCM6240-Q1.
What we thought was that PCM6240 would not work unless PLL clock and unable to access via I2C (which turns out to be misunderstanding).

Could you categorize all features of PCM6240-Q1 into below two?:

  1. Can use with only power-on / release reset status
e.g., Initialize via I2C, MICBIAS supply OK, Diag. function works, etc. -> work

  2. Cannot use with just only power-on / release reset status
    e.g., ADC function, Filtering

Aim of this question is to reduce the boot duration of PCM6240 and design/optimize start-up sequence.

Best,
Masaru
