Hi, TI Support Team

A customer is looking for an audio solution to be applied to an electric vehicle.

I have a history of using TAS2505 in the past, and I am looking for a solution that combines two audio signals using two TAS2505s.

The first block is the block that the customer wants to configure.

Since we were using one existing TAS2505, we are considering merging by adding an additional one.

I thought of three concepts, but please recommend possible solutions and products among the attached concepts.

Hi,

May I know who is the customer and is this going to car audio? When do they need for the proto build?

Please take a look at AIC3262/3/8 which supports multiple DAIs so you don't need 2 CODECs.

TAS2505 is smart amp and depending on your application you might still need 2 of that.

These AIC326x devices do have miniDSP build in.

Disclosure is not possible for end-customers.

I have additional questions.

1. By default, Audio Input is I2S.

- Is it possible for two I2S inputs to be merged inside and output to SPK AMP through DOUT?

- Is the merged audio signal output through Line OUT?

- In order to use only the corresponding function, I think it is a somewhat over-spec product. Is there anything that can be done more simply than this?

2. When using the recommended part, please recommend a suitable 6~10W class SPK AMP. (I2S input or Analog input)

Hi,

1. The mixing is possible through the output module as shown, each I2S will configure either left or right DAC - is this something you have in mind? There is a loopback option but not mixing in digital.

2. Here is a list of speaker amps with at least 6-10W either digital or analog input.
