TPA2005D1: Input Resistors

Part Number: TPA2005D1

Hi!

I'm trying to put lower input resistors so I can have more gain. Right now I'm trying resistors with a value of 20k, but it's causing some instability, sometimes I have signal and therefore, sound in my speakers, but other times one of my speakers does not work. Can this be from the resistors?

Kind regards,

Sarah

  • Hi Sarah,

Would you be able to share the complete schematic so we can take a look? Perhaps there is some capacitance that could affect the loop stability? Usually Class-D amplifiers should not be connected to capacitive loads directly, and add series inductor or resistors for isolation instead.

There is TINA and PSpice model available as well so you could try different gain values or sweep the resistor value while plotting gain/phase.
