LM3886: Mute Pin

Hi,

On page 15 of the datasheet it is posted in Figure 44 the relation between the current drawn from Mute pin and the attenuation of the signal. 

Is it possible to use the mute pin together with a microcontroller and controlled current source in order to attenuate the chip?
Based from the figure, the diagram is roughly linear between 10uA and 200uA
