I was wondering if it is possible to implement the receiver side of a simple modem on either the AIC 3254 or ADC 3101 in the miniDSP.
The situation is that I need to transfer a very small amount of data (~50 bytes) over a wired analog channel which is connected to the A/D input of the TI chip. The data may be encoded with a simple scheme like FSK.
Do either of these chips have the features and capability to demodulate simple modem communications data? Are there any Purepath components that exist for such purpose? Or is what I am asking to do way beyond the capabilities of these chips?
