thanks. My customer use this in EE-infotainment, the power shut down without sending message to MCU and TPA6304. and for pre-market, they need pass the strict test for power-up&down. and I want to know other auto-customer how to design the power-down for TPA6304 to reduce pop noise.
Hi Eric
For TPA6304 itself, no other sequence needs to be done. Other customer will try to control from the system level. There should be DAC device generate the audio signal for TPA6304. When power up, give power to DAC first, then power up TPA6304. When shut down, close TPA6304 first, then shutdown DAC. Doing this to avoid the pop signal created by DAC. Make sure there's no audio signal when you want to power up and power down. Try to avoid audio signal suddenly appear or disappear, make it smoothly change.
Hi Eric
MUTE only set the output into Hi-Z state. STANDBY will disable most of the internal LDO also analog circuit to save the power.
