TPA6130A2: Negative and Positive inputs with device powered off and Isolation to the output

Part Number: TPA6130A2

Hi,

I would like to know if the part has capability to withstand negative (and positive inputs) when the device is powered off?   If so what is the capability of the inputs in terms of voltage swing?   Also what is the isolation from those inputs to the output when the device is powered off?   I would expect on the latter there is no output, however I wanted to make certain there is no path for leakage.

Thanks,

  • Hi HSG,

When this device is not powered it will act as many other ICs in this situation, there are diodes inside that could be biased if an external signal is applied while the power supply to the IC is not connected.
Input capability spec provided in data sheet applies only when device is powered up.

When device is off, there should be no signal going through the IC into the outputs. Even after device is powered, the default state is to disable the amplifiers and gain is set to the minimum value.
