TAS2563: Chip related application problems

As Brian mentioned below, the best way to configure the device is by generating the configuration files from PPC3, you can request access to this software tool within TAS2563 product folder: https://www.ti.com/licreg/docs/swlicexportcontrol.tsp?form_id=272827&prod_no=TAS2563-SW&ref_url=asc_amps_lpaa

I2S input data is handled by register TDM_CFG3 (page=0x00 address=0x09) and TDM_CFG2 (page=0x00 address=0x08):

• TDM_CFG3 is used to select which slot is used for each channel, by default this is slot 0 and 1 which would also work for I2S format.
• Then TDM_CFG2 can be used to select either L, R or a mix of both by setting bits 5-4 RX_SCFG. There is another option where TDM_CFG3 is ignored and the device selects the slot based on its I2C address, this is mono only (cannot mix two channels together)
