TAS6424-Q1: Sampling Clock Selection ( FSYNC)

Part Number: TAS6424-Q1

Hi,

In datasheet it is advised to use 44.1 KHz ,48 KHz or 96 KHz FSYNC (frame rate) for audio.

In our case we could not generate exact 48 KHz.

Is it okay if we use following clocks and select 48 KHz setting in codec registers.

  • MCLK   => 12.5 MHz
  • FSYNC => 12.5 MHz / 256 = 48.828125 KHz

In other words what happens if we choose 48 KHz sampling frequency but use FSYNC frequency which has some deviation from 48 KHz. ( MCLK and SCLK will also be compatible with FSYNC).

Thanks

Mustafa
