TLV320ADC5140: SNR at DRE disabling with 2.5Kohm input impedunce

Part Number: TLV320ADC5140
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320ADC6140

Hello,

Our customer is investigating TLV320ADC5140 SNR performance.

When look at datasheet specification under 10Kohm input impedance setting, DRE enable is 117dB and disable is 108dB.

At 2.5Kohm setting, there is 119dB performance with DRE, but no specification at disabling DRE.

Can we expect it might be 110dB?

Another curiosity is that in the case of TLV320ADC6140 DRE disable SNR is specified at 2.5Kohm, not 10Kohm condition like TLV320ADC 5140.

Is that typo or intended difference condition?

Mochizuki

TLV320ADC6140 SNR

  • Hi,

TLV320ADC5140: The typical SNR for 2.5kOhm impedance with DRE disabled is 107 dB to 108 dB (Conditions at TA = 25°C, AVDD = 3.3 V, IOVDD = 3.3 V, fS = 48 kHz, 32-bit audio data, BCLK = 256 × fS, TDM slave mode, PLL on, IN1 differential input selected and AC signal shorted to ground, DRE disabled, 0-dB channel gain)

TLV320ADC6140: The SNR is mentioned for 2.5kOhm impedance with DRE disabled and 0-dB and 12-dB channel gain. There is intended.

    Hope this resolves your query!

  • Hi Sakshi,

    Thank you for the information.

We notice that DRE improvement of the SNR performance is 11dB - 12dB range in this 2.5Kohm setting.
