For the PurePath Wireless family it's currently 4.
As for other technologies, TI might have something to offer, but will need more information on the application and the audio quality required.

The application would be public address systems, large buildings with emergency speakers for audio notification, wireless intercom.
Voice audio range is sufficient, not music quality audio.
Generally low quality audio that is broadcasted over large areas.
This is a perfect application for the CC1110/CC1101. See Application Note AN082 (http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/lit/getliterature.tsp?literatureNumber=swra295a&fileType=pdf). In One Way mode, audio sample rates of from 8 to 24 kHz are supported, and there is no limit on the number of receivers.
