Hi Ti Team,

I read the previous forum question which states that TLV320AIC3256 can't run Acoustic Echo cancellation (AEC), and It was suggested to use an External DSP for the same.

Here can you provide us with some good candidates who can be used as External DSP to support Echo cancellation? We are planning to use a 2x Digital Microphone and a Mono Speaker 3W.

Currently, we have a Ti's AM3358 as our host processor.

Hi,

We don't have a recommendation for the external DSP part, normally a dedicated DSP part has a much bigger capacity/capability than the AIC3256 miniDSP.

Please consult with the DSP vendor for your application.

Thanks for your quick support,

I was looking into the Part#TLV320AIC3263 datasheet, which mentions that it supports Echo and Noise cancellation algorithms. Does that mean instead of AIC3256 we should go with Part# TLV320AIC3263?

Let me know your valuable input for the same.

Hi,

Both of these devices have limited resources and we recommend user to use external DSP in these types of application.
