Hi team

My customer needs a audio DAC or audio codec and could you help give your recommendation to this opportunity? 

  • I2C interface to control the volume
  • IIS audio signal
  • 24bit
  • 3.5 aux audio output

The customer wants to know TI mainstream option and they also prefers the device could have p2p backup from other competitors, could you help give your recommendation based on this?

    Hi Shawn,

    Almost all of our TLV320AIC310x codecs support the specifications mentioned; 3101-106 (these codecs are p2p) have an integrated HP amp while there are other performance variants (i.e w/ DSP, class-d speaker amp, multichannel, etc.).

    In regards to DACs, our TLV320DAC32/100/101/120 also fit these specifications & are p2p with the main difference being speaker/HP amp output power and mono/stereo configurations.

    Are there any additional customer requirements they would need to fulfill?

    The customer has the concern on the supply so they need a P2P option from other competitor as a backup, so could you help give a TI recommendation and its P2P competitor P/N?

    Hi Shawn,

    I cannot supply a p2p competitor p/n as the field identifies hundreds of competition against the devices mentioned. I can continue this conversation with the marketing & planning team to determine which device has the best position from a supply standpoint.
