I would like to connect a TAS6424LQ1EVM with PPC 3. No connection is possible.

I start the App TA6424-Q1 & TAS6421-Q1 in the PurePath Console and in the statusline ist allways the Message "offline. The field Connect is not avalible.

What could be the cause?

Hi Horst,

The PPC plug in should be only the TAS6424 plug in, but this should not make a difference in the problem. The plugin will be available in your PPC3 when you sign in inside PPC3.

The firmware on the board may have been corrupted and needs to be reloaded. See this post to verify that you need to reload the firmware. https://e2e.ti.com/support/audio/f/audio-forum/998455/purepath-cmbevm-how-to-how-to-actually-upgrade-the-firmware?keyMatch=SLOC305

Hello Gregg,

I have re-downloaded the firmware on the board into the EEPROM.

However, the problem still exists.

The WARN LED on the TAS6424LQ1EVM is on continuously.

Could this be an indication that a connection with the TAS6424L cannot be established?

Hi Horst

Do you have any other EVM at your hands, maybe you can try with different board to have a check. I'm thinking maybe the board has some problem.

Did the USB LOCK LED turned on after all the power supply provided? Seems it's highly possible the EVM is broken. Is it a new board that applied from Ti.com?

yes the USB LOCK LED is on.

It is an older board from Ti (see picture).

Hi Horst

I'm afraid the EVM is quite hard to fix, there's a lot of devices from different group in TI. Maybe you could try replace the U2 device TAS1020BPFBR, which is used to communicate with USB port. But can't fully guaranteed.
