[WIZARDLAB] Request for remommendation of Audio Mix Solution

Hi, TI support team

The customer is planning to develop a product with the concept below.

- It receives two I2S inputs, mixes audio signals, and outputs audio.

1. Is there a codec IC that can receive two I2S inputs and mix inside?

2. If not, please recommend the most suitable solution because the two I2S is a fixed matter.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hi Mj,

Yes, Our TLV320AIC32xx (04/06/54/56) series of devices support 2 I2S options (some up to 3) with mix/mux capabilities; some devices also have integrated Class D amplifier <2W so external amplifier will still be needed. This family of devices can easily support block diagram attached.

  • Hi, Daveon

    Thank you for reply.

Please check the additional inquiries below.

I use two audio data (I2S), but is it possible to set SCK differently?

The customer concept is as follows.

I want to control (two I2S) two sound sources with different SCK rates (SCK variable for one sound source, SCK fixed for one sound source).

Does the previously recommended part output each sound source coming into the I2S at a different SCK rate?

Please recommend products applicable to the above concept.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    MJ

  • Hi MJ,

The devices mentioned in earlier post that have multiple I2S options will support more than 1 BCLK/SCK. Refer to the application guide http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/SLAA557 for more details, illustration also shown here:
