TLV320AIC3107: Solution proposals for against wind noise

Part Number: TLV320AIC3107
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV320AIC3263, TLV320AIC3262, TLV320AIC3007

Hello,

My customer needs the following requirements and I'd like to propose TLV320AIC3107, TLV320AIC3262 or TLV320AIC3263, but the most important item is against wind noise.  I think it can be done by biquad filter for TLV320AIC3107 and miniDSP for TLV320AIC3262/63.

- Requirements

  • MIC inputs by 2-ch analog single-ended(stereo microphone 1-ch)
  • MICBIAS 1ch(1.5V ~ 3.6V)
  • CODEC with 16~24bits
  • ADC/DAC SNR is don't care
  • Fs=48kHz
  • Wind noise prevention by digital HPF
  • Speaker output(8Ω) of 1-ch
  • Small package
  • Audio interface of I2S
  • I2C Control(or SPI)
  • Samples in TI.com inventory are available

- Proposed Devices

  • TLV320AIC3107 by biquad HPF(no sample of TLV320AIC3007 now, so TLV320AIC3107 will be proposed)
  • TLV320AIC3262 by miniDSP
  • TLV320AIC3263 by miniDSP if only mono is required

- Questions

  1. Do you think my proposal is appropriate?
  2. Would you please tell me the advantages/disadvantages of both biquad and miniDSP?
  3. Would you please provide me frequency response of each biquad and miniDSP so that my customer can decide which one will work well on their system before asking samples?
  4. Would you please provide me materials of designing HPF by biquad or miniDSP for wind noise?

Best Regards,
