TLV320AIC3106: Design Advice

Greetings,

For the TLV320AIC3106 Audio CODEC IC schematic in AM62x Starter Kit Evm is attached

I have several questions for my design

1- I will have internal speaker output and external amplifier output. Which output pins should I use for this application?

2- Can I switch between internal speaker output and external amplifier output with TLV320AIC3106’s pins and/or registers?

3- Can I use headphone output to drive an additional speaker?

4- To the line pins I want to connect single ended radio outputs which have 3 pins (R-out, L-out, GND). Can I use TLV320AIC3106’s differential line pins? If I can, how can I use those differential pins for single ended outputs?

    Hi,

    1. Normally the LINE output will drive the external speaker

    2. There are registers to power up or down the output module so you can switch between them

    3. Normally the direct headphone output connection is sufficient for the audio jack

    4. Is the radio outputs differential or single ended stereo? The LINExL/R can be configured as SE or differential through the register configuration
