Hi teams,
My customer has a question about TLV320AIC3204.
If they don't use DIN/MFP1, Can they make DIN/MFP1 floating? or connect to the ground?
Thanks, Shoo

Hi ,
We suggest connecting the pin to ground if unused .

Hi Douglas,
Thanks for your prompt reply!
My customer has already left the pin floating...
Might that cause any issue?
Thanks,
Shoo
Correction: Unused Digital inputs need to be connected to GND, and should not be left floating
Hi ,
This is necessary to prevent an unintended impedance or noise received from the pin.
HI Douglas-san,
Does 9pin status (SCL/SS) prevent 8 pin (SCLK / MFP3) from those noise?
Thanks,
Shoo
Hi Shoo-san,
No, pin 9 doesn't prevent pin 8 noise. The SCLK is used to synchronize SPI data/timing (SS, MOSI, MISO) and comes from host processor, so SCLK would be a clean signal. Assuming SPI protocol, the Slave-select (SS) pin is only a control line for SPI Bus from host processor.
Status of pin 9, determined by SPI_SELECT, will only configure pin to be slave-select (SS for SPI protocol) or SCL (clock for I2C data). (2.8.2 of APP reference guide)
can be digital output floating?
Yes, digital outputs can be left floating.
