Hi Team,

I have a customer who is currently doing a project using TAS5822M. Based on PPC3 we understand that we can export the settings and response to header file and write it through I2C communication, and we also understand that the datasheet have already listed some register that can be set.

Here is my enquiry:

Can we do random write instead of sequential write to Biquad filter (addressed in book 0xAA) ?
Can we view book addressed in 0xAA on PurePath console ? From the screenshot, we can only view book0

Please kindly advise.

Hi Yong

1. sequential write would be better.

random write would be easy to miss some register or write to wrong page.

for example: you have 2 filter been applied in the EQ.

one filter's parameter would be better to be wrote together. it is no matter which one be write first.

but if you random write 2 filter's parameter together, that would be much easier to make parameter been wrote miss.

we don't recommend doing like that.

Another method about how to check the register of EQ, you can use i2c log function in the ppc3, that can help you get related register config quickly.
