TLV320DAC3100: Recommended processing block

Part Number: TLV320DAC3100

Hi team,

Could you suggest the best processing block for my customer's use case?

They are going to use TLV320DAC3100 in a measurement equipment and play some information sounds not music.

The sampling frequency is 22.05kHz and 16bit I2S. Sound equalization is not required. The most important thing is power consumption.

Or, any processing block is same sound and power consumption if they use default setting(all pass)?

Regards,

  • Hi Hirai-san,

Based on Table 6-11 from D/S page 25-26, the "resource class" column gives an estimate of digital power consumption. Processing blocks with less processing features, and with a single channel (mono) signal path are usually the most efficient.

Depending on the Interpolation filter response required for your application, you may consider PRB_P7 or PRB_P17 for stereo use case, and PRB_P12 or PRB_P22 for mono use case.

Let us know if there is any further question regarding DAC3100 or its processing blocks.

    Best regards,
