TAS2562: SDOUT - function and consequences of not using it

What information does the TAS2562 provide via SDOUT? What are the consequences of not using this pin in a regular application?

    Hi Lenio,

    TAS2562 can transmit the following data through SDOUT:

    • V-sense
    • I-sense (V and I sense required only when running speaker protection algorithm on a host controller)
    • VBAT level
    • Die temp
    • Gain (for gain-sharing stereo applications)

    However if none of this data is required to be transmitted, SDOUT pin can be safely left unused.
