TPA3255: What is the difference between TPA3255D2DDVR and TPA3255DDV/TPA3255DDVR.

Part Number: TPA3255

We are using TPA3255 Class D IC in our 240W application.

While referring the TPA3255 EVM we found different part number i.e., TPA3255D2DDVR, than available IC in TI Inventory .ie., TPA3255DDV/ TPA3255DDVR.

Could you please let us know the difference between the IC used in EVM and the available IC in TI inventory.

Also I could find the description of both IC's are different.

in my understanding, they should be the same.

part number difference just because product line have some change.

Since both IC's description did not match, can we use TPA3255EVM as reference for TPA3255DDV/TPA3255DDVR IC?

TPA3255DDV/ TPA3255DDVR (active component) description: TPA3255 315-W Stereo, 600-W Mono PurePath Ultra-HD Analog-Input

TPA3255D2DDVR (EVM) description: 150W Stereo/300W MONO PurePath HD Analog-input Power Stage, DDV0044D

Hello Pavan,

There is only one device. The user's guide may have had older information on what we say the output power spec is based on a lower % THD+N and higher impedance load. We can make a note to correct this on the user's guide to avoid future confusion, but there is only one TPA3255 device whose performance is outlined by the TPA3255 datasheet and populated on the TI EVM.
