Hi Experts,

Just wanted to confirm if it is possible to select lower bitrates for the output signal? Can our customer select 16 bits for a Bluetooth module and 32 bits for high end audio equipment without adding components in between?

In case it's not possible. Which are our most common and tested 16-bit ADC for medium to high-end audio applications?

Hi Gerald,

Unfortunately the PCM1820 is hardware controlled an has a fixed 32-bit word length output. I recommend a software controlled ADC such as TLV320ADC5120 or PCM5120-Q1 that have a more flexible ASI that fits customer's project requirements.

Hi Daveon,

A last question, could you please also suggest one of your common and tested hardware-controlled ADCs for 16-bit audio applications? Possibly with a standard soic or tssop design to test it with a conventional breakout board. Thank you.

Hi Gerald,

PCM1801 is our only 16-bit ADC and it is in SOIC package, should fit customer requirements
