Hi Sir,

Could you help to share the PCB layout file of TPA3116D2EVM?

My customer refers to the TPA3116D2EVM to do the below test condition. they found the system has overheating phenomenon and going to system protection after 10mins.

Could you please give advice after reviewing the attachment files?

test condition: Vin=24V, RL=2Ω, THD+N=10%, GAIN=26dB, fosc=400kHz

The schematic and PCB layout is fine.

What's the output power? The power define the inductor Isat.

Hi Sir,

V-in = 24V, I-in about 6.46A; P-out about 125W, V-out about 15.85V, R-load contacted 4Ohm x2pcs on J5 and J8.

TPA3116 OC threshold is 7.5A, it can not 12w at 4ohm load.

Hi,

Sorry, I found your configuration is PBTL, is is fine for 125W.

According to your application, the Isat of inductor should be higher than 8A.
