Selecting an audio amplifier with compression

Hello,

I am looking for a sound amplifier with a sound compression.
For applications with better talk sound to headset or speaker (about 2W).
Ideally, reduce high volume sound (loud speech, shout, gunshot) and amplify low volume sound (low speach, whisper).
No need for great sound quality. It will be powered by a small battery.

Hard requirements:
Power voltage 3.3V or 5V or similary.
Audio compression
Low price
Low size

Soft requirements:
Setting volume over i2c or any
Stereo output Class-G or Class-D
Noise suppression

Hello Michal,

Thank you for reaching out. The TAS2563 meets the hard requirements listed above. The integrated miniDSP can be configured for audio compression using TI's Pure Path Console 3. The device also supports some of the soft requirements since it allows for Digital Volume Control (DVC) and has a Class-D (mono) output.

Thank you for your response.

I am adding information that I forgot to include.
I have Audio analog input
I don't know yet if I need stereo or if a mixer and mono output is enough.

Hello Michal,

There are also options for an analog input. Both TLV320AIC3268 and TLV320AIC26 are good options that should meet your requirements. Both have analog inputs, as well as mono/stereo configurable output.
