TLV320AIC3110: Jack detection, interrupt

Part Number: TLV320AIC3110

Hello

My customer is facing a problem on TLV320AIC3110.

They want to use the jack detection.
But the interrupt occurs only when playing the audio.
It means the jack detection doesn’t occur when no communication and no MCLK.

Is it impossible to use Jack detection with no communication and no MCLK?
Is there any way to solve this?

Regards,
Oba

  • Hello Obata-san,

Thank you for reaching out. The TLV320AIC3110 has an internal oscillator (section 5.8 Timer) that can be selected and used for interrupts if MCLK is unavailable. Please see 5.7 CLOCK Generation and PLL for a detailed description of available clock options.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.

    Best,
    Andrew
