PCM1860: Getting only 16 bits of data on I2S

Part Number: PCM1860
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1862, PCM1861, PCM1864

Hi,

I have recently designed in the PCM1860. When I study the I2S port, I only see 16 bits of data. The rest is zero.

Is there anything I can do to get 24 bits of I2S data from it?

I have the following hardware setup:

VINL1 / pin 3 1kHz sine

All other analog inputs: floating

MCLK = 24.576MHz into SCKI / pin 15

MD0 = 1

MD1 = 1

MD2 = 0

MD3 = 0

MD4 = 0

MD5 = 0

MD6 = 0

A lot is as expected: Analog input is only applied on VIN1L and comes out on low phase of I2S LRCK. LRCK frequency is the expected 96ksps. BCK is 6.144 MHz.

Thanks,

Børge
