TLV320ADC3140: Can you tell by interrogating the device registers if the device on the board is a 3140 or a 5140

just checking if there is a good way of identifying if it is an 3140 or 5140 attached as we want to try both to collect some statistics and
we need to log which is which so there is no mixup.

Hello Alan,

Unfortunately, there is no identification register on either of these chips. The best way to differentiate between the ADC5140 or ADC3140 is to look at the the top of the two chips, they should both have different identifiers written on them. I hope this clarifies your question.
