Hi team,

I found trise/fall specification in the datasheet below.

It says <5ns typical. Does it mean trise/fall must be shorter than 5ns?

Could you please advise the clear definition of this parameter?

Yes, it means that way. From our design perspective, this rising and falling time should be as small as possible. And in TAS6424E, there's MCLK, the frequency would up to 24MHz, the 5ns rising and falling will already takes up too much of the whole cycle.

In that case, why not simply specify Max 5ns instead of <5ns typical?

This is indeed a choice, we could consider to change in this way. Originally written in this way, I think maybe this is not a very strict requirement, so they didn't write this direct to the max limitation. We will discuss if need to change this.
