PCM6260-Q1: schematic check

Part Number: PCM6260-Q1

Hi

1.  Could you help check the PCM6260 schematic , and any need to adjust

2 . The EVM line of pcm6260 has I2C and EEPROM on it. Could you please help me to confirm this function? Is it necessary to use it? Do you need specific software? If necessary, can you provide the file?

3.  PCM6260 SPEC mentions the control interface I2C or SPI refers to the Interface connected to the CPU? Which side does the Digital audio serial interface refer to? What is its function

  • Can you please let me know the below.

    1. Is this design required to support   DC coupling?

    2. The Digital audio interface comprised of FSYNC/BCLK and DOUT create the Digitized version of the audio signal. This has to be connected to the  Digital processor that processes the audio signal.

    3. Where is the E2PROM you refer to? The PCM6240 does not require any EPROM for its operation

  • Hi Sanjay

1.Since the MIC part has not yet been determined, the customer is to reserve both the AC & DC settings. Use BOM to change later, the default should be DC.

3.Please refer to the following attachment SBAU341

  • The PCM6240 does not need any E2PROM . It can be directly conigured over i2cBUS.

AC Coupling: Place 1U Coupling Capacitors

                          Place 4k7 Pullups t MicBias

                          Remove 1k Pulldown

    DC Coupling Differential

                             Remove 4k7 Pullups to MicBias

1u coupling capacitors are replaced by 0 ohm resistors.

                             Remove 1k Pulldown

    DC Couplng Single Ended:

1k pulldown is made 0 ohm

1u coupling capacitors are replaced by 0 ohm resistor on InP Pin
