TAS5411-Q1: Could you please review the schematic design and make some suggestions?

Part Number: TAS5411-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5431-Q1,

Could you please review the schematic design and make some suggestions?

TAS5411.pdf

  • Xiaofu,

Thank you for the opportunity to review your schematic.  All three pages appear to be identical, so I will only look at Amp A on the first page.

    • Please use the new device, TAS5431-Q1.
    • I cannot see if your source is differential (balanced) or not.  If it is balanced, R15, and R16 are not needed.
    • On /STBY pin, a pull down is recommended, instead of a pull up (this would depend on the logic to control this pin).
    • On the MUTE pin a pull up is recommended, delete R27, keep R21
    • C639 and C640 should be 3.3uF
    • The power input inductor does not need to be 10uH/7A.  It can be 1uH/2A.
    • C598 can be 220uF

  • Is the TAS5411QPWPRQ1 stable supply? And the subsequent discontinuance plan?

  • Xiaofu,

We recommend the newer device.  The TAS5411-Q1 has a stable supply and there is no plan to discontinue it at this time.

    Regards,
    Gregg Scott
