LME49724: Searching for alternative part with higher output range

Hi TI!!

We are looking for some alternative part For lme49724 with differencial output of atleast 36V.

We are having an analog single ended signal of range 0-10V.We want to amplify this to a unipolar differential output of range 0-36V.Earlier we were using lme49724 for this application, but during bench testing we observed that the output will peak at ~32V.Can you please suggest any alternate IC. Also, can you point any reference documents, if any?

  • Hello Sameep,

    Could you share your output load for the LME49724?  The load driven and other surrounding circuitry will affect the amplifier's output drive and gain ability.  

    The datasheet mentions at 600 Ohm output the LME49724 can output 52Vpk-pk on +/- 15V supplies.

    What are your selected supplies when using the LME49724 in your application?

    Below I have clarified on your points.

    • Could you share your output load for the LME49724?
      • The Output load is around 10K ohms.
    • The datasheet mentions at 600 Ohm output the LME49724 can output 52Vpk-pk on +/- 15V supplies.What are your selected supplies when using the LME49724 in your application?
      • Our Signal is a "single ended signal of range 0-10V". So, there Is no negative swing. Thus, If I am not wrong, we can achieve up to ~24V of output swing on a +/- 15V rail.
      • We are having 48V rail and 36V rail in our board.
      • For LME49724, Because of maximum limitation we have given 36V on VCC and Connected Vee to GND (Single supply operation)
        • IN this condition, "single ended signal of range 0-10V" is provided to Vin+ pin and we are observing around 0-32 V of differential output across VOUT+ and VOUT-
        • We have chosen Rin=10K and Rf=36K.
        • Our requirement is to get "single ended signal of range 0-10V" amplified to a "Differential signal of range 0-36V"
      • Since we are having 48V rail on Board, we are looking for an alternative to LME49724, which can Fulfill my requirement.
      • Description of I/P signal:
        • Vpp-10V
        • Dc offset -5V
        • Frequency -100Hz
        • Type-Single ended

      Thank you for the additional information. We do not have above a 36V FDA as a replacement. You might need to use a push/pull drive design to achieve this type of operation; we are looking into this solution and will get back to you.

    Our team does not have a single part which works for your required specifications.  Our newer parts are on lower power supplies.  I was unable to find any HSAMPs-related push/pull drive design notes; good luck with your design and implementation.
