PCM1690: PCM1690: External Reset

Part Number: PCM1690

Hellow,

<Things I want to do.>
I want the PCM 1690 to be full power down.

<Condition existence>
Conditional. Clocks stop condition is described.
Data sheet 6.7 Electrical Characteristics:Power-Supply Requirements
(1) SCKI, BCK, and LRCK stopped.

<Unclear point>
Data sheet Figure 24. External Reset Timing Requirements
I don't know how to stop Synchronous Clocks(SCKI, BCK, and LRCK) after the RESET signal transitions to high to low.
There is no time or number of Synchronous Clocks after the transition of the RESET signal to high to low.

  • Hello Masanori,

    Let say you have the system running ( supply is settled, CKI, BCK, and LRCK are running and synchronized and also  RST is High). Now at this point If RST goes from high to low the internal reset will be asserted, and thus all registers and memory will be  reset, and  the PCM1690 enters into all power-down states. It will stay in power down until the external rest is back to high. Once it is high, the part checks to see if CKI, BCK, and LRCK are running and synchronized, if they are, then after 3846 cycles of  SCKI the internal reset is released and the part starts its normal operation again.
