TPA2011D1: Input pin configuration

Part Number: TPA2011D1

Hello team,

My customer is trying to use TPA2011D1 with the configuration as Figure 31 on the datasheet.

However, the IN+ is connected instead of IN-. Is this configuration correct?

Shouldn't it be IN- connected to GND?

The EVM is configured with jumper option with IN- connection with GND as below.

  • Hi Kei,

In general, the inverting input configuration of any amplifier provides the best performance in terms of stability. So the general recommendation is to use inverting input as signal input and connect non-inverting input to GND. However, for most speaker loads and audio content use cases, TPA2011D1 performance would be pretty much similar regardless of inverting or non-inverting input.

    Thank you for your reply.

The issue has fixed. The customer was making a bad solder connection.
