Dear experts,
We use the PCM3168 as the audio ADC for our products. The schematic and software configuration are shown below. We confirm that the software has written to PCM3168 over the I2C bus, but DOUT1 does not have any output signal. Can you help check the SCH and software configuration and tell us how we can resolve the issue? Many thanks!
Hello Rogers,
Thank you for reaching out. The schematic and code snippet look good. What clock values are provided to the PCM3168A from the host controller? Can you include screen captures? I would like to start by checking if the CODEC is receiving the expected clock frequencies.
Best,
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
I captured waveform screenshots of LRCKAD and BCKAD (SCKI) as shown below
LRCKAD-48KHZ
BCKAD (SCKI) clock-12.288MHZ
Hello Rogers,
Please share a screen capture of DOUT as well. Aside from the ASI configuration. I assume the rest of the registers are default. This should be correct. Is the behavior of "no value on DOUT" seen on other boards?
All the clocks are from the host controller. Can you please probe the power rails of the CODEC to make sure the device is powered correctly?
Best,
Andrew
