TLV320AIC3100: Output impedance during Mono class-D powered down state

Hi,

I just wanted to confirm that the class-D outputs are high impedance when the outputs are powered down (Page 0, Register 37 highlighted below). Since Class-D is a half bridge output and the below output spec leakage is so low I assume that it is definitely in a high impedance state but wanted to make sure.

    Yes, the driver is in a Hi-Z state when powered down.

    Just wanted to ask a quick follow-up question while Gentex develops with this part.

    For the audio codec TLV320AIC3100IRHBR  there is a headphone detect feature.  If this feature is enabled, are the speaker drivers automatically turned off when the signal on pin 11 indicates that headphones are in use?

    After reading through the datasheet it looks like it just sets a flag in Page 0 Register 44 that can be output on Dout or GPIO1 and takes no automatic action, more it relies on the interrupt to trigger the system manager to do something, but wanted to be sure.

    Yes that is correct. It is only a detect feature. Further logic in a host controller would need to poll the flag and then command the codec to mute the speakers to get the auto-mute feature we're familiar with.
