PUREPATHCONSOLE: Unable to install apps due to firewall/VPN - what needs to be allowed?

Part Number: PUREPATHCONSOLE
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM6260-Q1

Hi Team,

I have a customer that is trying to use purepathconsole.   They were able to install the GUI, but are unable to install the PCM6260-Q1 app and keep getting errors.

Other engineers at this customer have seen similar issues before and it is always related to their firewall, so we are pretty sure that is the root cause here too.

Can you let me know what domains/ports need to be allowed by firewall in order for PPC to install apps like the PCM6260-Q1 app?
We are hoping their IT team can allow access to the required domains/ports and get this to work, but they are asking what needs to be unblocked.

Thanks,

Ben

  • Hi Ben,

I'll loop in our PPC3 support team to help, but can you let us know what the errors are specifically? That may help clue in the issue.

    Thanks,
    Jeff McPherson

  • Jeff,

I can open PurePath and log in.   Then when I go to install the app, the loading bar gets about halfway before it shows this:

No matter what I try, I can't get past that point.

My coworkers who previously had a similar issue said that when they reached out to you, you said it was a network issue with something being blocked from our side.

So I am trying to figure out the requirements to pass along to our IT department so they can get it unblocked.

    Thanks!

  • Hi David and Ben,

I've passed this issue to our PPC3 design team. I've given them the emails associated with your TI account. I'm going to close this thread, but you can reopen it if you haven't heard from our team in 48 hours.

    Best regards,
    Jeff McPherson

  • Hi Jeff,

Neither David nor myself have received any emails about this question.   Can you please reopen this thread and have the PPC3 team post their response here so that we both get notified?

David just needs to know what domains / ports need to be allowed for PPC3 to install apps, so that he can tell the IT department what needs to be done.

    Thanks,

    Ben

  • Hi Ben and David,

I apologize for the wait. I've opened an email thread directly between us and the PPC3 design team, and they've provided an initial response.

Again I apologize for the wait. Let me know how I can continue to support you,
    Jeff McPherson
