TAS5731M: I2C not receiving ACK from TAS5731M

   In the datasheet, the 7-bit address for TAS5731 shows as below. 

   But in your picture, you are sending 0110 110 + 1, which is not correct.

The "8 bit" i2c read address becomes [ 0x36 << 1 ] (7 bit Address) OR [0x01] (1 bit READ) -- which is what we are seeing now.

    There's no need to do shift left. Please follow datasheet description, and just put the R/W bit at the end of the 7 bit address.    

Below is TI TAS5731 datasheet. The first 8 bit by master upon read command is mathematically [ 0x36 << 1 ] (7 bit Address) OR [0x01] (1 bit READ).

   Please don't do the shift left, just put the 7-bit device address as below picture shows, and add R/W at the end. For this device, the 7-bit address is 0011 011.

My 7 bit address is 0x36 aligns with TI datasheet. 

I2C 7 bit address occupies the most significant 7 bit  of a byte-- reason for the left shift by 1 bit. The least significant bit is the R/W flag.
