TS3A227E: Schematic review

Hello Philip,

In regards to the cap at vdd of this device i suggest just using the 1uf cap i see in your schematic. You do not need any additional caps.

In addition i do not see the problem in your schematic for the Tip pin could you please explain

I have some quick suggestions that can help improve this design!

1.Please connect the int pin to ground as I believe it is unused in this schematic

2.For the MICP Pin it is internal connected to an audio codec(ADC and DAC) and I believe you should follow the routing diagram below .  

3. For the Mic present if you do not plane to use this pin use a pulldown resistor to ground.

Nevermind. I just realized there is RING2_SENSE, so I couldn't use the RING2 with DET_TRIGGER any way.
My problem is, I have an internal mono speaker, but want to switch to the audio jack when it is connected. From my understanding, I couldn't do that in the current configuration, since it would pull the mono speaker permanently HIGH.
Or am I missing something here?

I think you are correct in your understanding. Connecting the Tip pin to the mono speaker will have it permantley high.

It's just a non standard way to do it. I am not super familiar with the TI portfolio. Maybe there is another IC I could use for it, but it's alright if not. Speaking of recommendations. Microphone switches that would work well with the TS3A227E. Or should I create a new thread for it?
