I have an audio product with a CS4822 that is going End of Life but we want to keep the product on the market for still a few years.
The CS8422 is performing the following taks:
1-SPDIF receiver for two inputs: Optical and HDMI eARC up to 176.4 KHz input.
2-Analog input from an ADC at 176.4KHz input.
3-Sample Rate Conversion between other circuits in the PCBa such as BT input at 44.1KHZ, output at 44.1KHz to the Wifi input module. Finally I2S data output at 192 KHz to the CS4398 DAC.
Questions:
1-Are there any pin-to-pin or non pin-to-pin TI part?
2-What other design options can be used? For ex, a separated SPDIF receiver and Sample Rate Converter IC would require too many changes.
